Neurofeedback is a well-researched and effective form of therapy for children (over 6 years) and adults with AD/HD. It is also effective in the management of sleep difficulties, often related to symptoms of ADHD.
Neurofeedback is a treatment approach which measures brain activity via sensors placed on the scalp, with activity then visualised on a monitor. This allows a person to voluntarily control brain activity by influencing the signal on the screen. Over a gradual learning process, the brain is rewarded for changing its activity to more appropriate patterns.
Neurofeedback sessions are booked as one hour appointments.
Each session consists of neurofeedback training and individual therapeutic support
Multiple sessions per week (2-3) are recommended for better treatment efficiency
First noticeable improvements usually show after 10-20 sessions
Most people require 30 sessions
